Gaithersburg, MD – Safest Drug is responding to the public health crisis of medication injuries and deaths (medication harm) in the U.S. by inviting the public to a special online movie screening of the documentary film “Medicating Normal” on Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 4pm to 6pm EST.
The movie features the first-hand experiences of 5 people who have gone through unimaginable stress and trauma as a result of their medication use. The screening is being hosted by Safest Drug in collaboration with Periscope Moving Pictures production.

After the screening, there will be a short panel discussion including Mika Pollack, Executive Director at Safest Drug. Ms. Pollack will be joined by author and psychotherapist, Erica Komisar, and Executive Director of Canadians for Vanessa’s Law, David Carmichael. The panel will answer questions from the audience and talk about their views on medication harm.
Tickets are on sale for $8 each by clicking here.
Those not able to attend the screening on December 1, are invited to contribute to the fight against medication harm here.
“There’s so much good charitable work being talked about every Giving Tuesday”, said Pollack. “I’m excited we get to be a part of it and for the second year in a row.”
